Maryam Khastoo is an Iranian-Welsh documentary, portrait, and travel photographer.
She holds a Master's degree in Documentary Photography and Photojournalism from the University of Westminster. Her work explores a range of subjects, often focusing on migration, identity, and the human experience.
Growing up in Wales, Maryam became increasingly aware of how the West perceived Iran and its people. While her projects span different themes and locations, she has used her photography to offer a deeper understanding of Iran alongside her broader body of work.
